The origins of Heritage & Heritage Funerals began in Healesville and the Yarra Valley where my late father, Frank Sperry Heritage, commenced business as a Funeral Director in 1934.  On his passing in 1964 I continued the business whilst maintaining the strong emphasis on personal service.

Over a decade ago our large, modern funeral home was opened at 733 Boronia Road, Wantirna. Our Lilydale office and funeral arrangement centre at 134 Victoria Road is immediately adjacent to the Lilydale Cemetery & Memorial Park was opened in March 2000, and in mid 2009 the Heritage Pioneers Chapel servicing the wider Yarra Valley opened at 1416 Koo Wee Rup Road Woori Yallock. I am proud to say that our funeral homes are recognised as the most professional funeral facilities in Victoria. Each is equipped to deliver an exceptional level of service and comfort at a demanding time.

In recent years my son, Gavan, daughter Janet and grandson Lachlan have joined the business so I can proudly say that Heritage & Heritage Funerals is a firmly established Australian-owned business with the fourth generation of the Heritage family actively involved.

I believe that the death of a loved one, a partner or family member can be an onerous responsibility. Addressing the stresses and creating the best available environment to establish a memory of a deceased person is always my focus. I have always had the utmost focus on personal assistance and professional care.

My staff are widely experienced in creating an appropriate memorial service.  This may include a Church or civil celebrant service, involvement of the RSL or other service organisation, preparation and placement of funeral notices and tributes, together with creating a memorial of a life and the funeral service itself.  We also make the necessary arrangements with cemeteries or related facilities relative to the final resting place that is chosen.  A memorial service can range from a small family group to one where several hundred people might be anticipated to attend.
